NEW: 3305 Solid Carbide End Mills

Less vibration, more control in stainless steels, titanium and superalloys.

A new addition to the Hepyc catalogue that completes our range of Solid Carbide end mills.

Stability and safety when machining difficult materials

Some tools work well until a difficult-to-machine steel comes along. For these demanding applications, this year we have added reference 3305 to our catalogue, completing the range of end mills we already offered.

Radial tip and progressive helix for the most demanding steels

What sets the 3305 Solid Carbide end mill apart is its radial tip and its 40°- 42° progressive helix. This variable helix gives the cutting edge better protection, improves stability and makes machining much safer.

This combination is especially useful in materials such as titanium or superalloys, which generate a lot of vibration during cutting. Thanks to the variable helix, these vibrations are significantly reduced.

Technical features

  • Integral Carbide (HM).

  • Long series.

  • Progressive helix 40°-42°.

  • Straight cutting.

  • Finishing operations.

  • 4 cutting flutes.

  • Rounded corner (radial).

  • AlCr coating.

The result:

  • Better-protected cutting edge and longer tool life.

  • Less vibration and more stability, even in demanding materials.

  • Safer machining and a quality finish.

Frequently asked questions

What materials is the 3305 end mill suitable for?

It is designed for difficult-to-machine materials: stainless steels, titanium and superalloys.

What does the 40°-42° progressive helix bring?

As a variable helix, it significantly reduces vibration during cutting. This gives the cutting edge better protection, improves stability and makes machining safer.

Why is it so important to control vibration in materials such as stainless steel, titanium and superalloys?

These materials generate a lot of vibration during machining. The lower the vibration, the better protected the cutting edge and the more stable the process.

What is the purpose of the radial tip?

The radial tip protects the cutting edge in finishing operations and contributes to more stable cutting.

What type of operations is it designed for?

The 3305 end mill is a straight-cutting tool designed for finishing operations.

What sizes are available?

Reference 3305 is available in 13 sizes and 5 diameters: 6, 8, 10, 12 and 16 mm.

What coating does it have?

An AlCr coating, which extends tool life.

Where can I find all the technical specifications?

In our general catalogue, on page 404, and in the technical data sheet for this reference on our website.
